CAR-T in Lymphoma: Lessons from Everyday Practice

Live online webinar · up to 90 minutes · English

Experts from the Institute of Hematology "Seràgnoli" in Bologna share their everyday clinical experience in treating lymphoma patients with CAR-T therapies – from patient qualification and referral, through bridging therapy and toxicity management, to long-term follow-up.

The webinar takes the form of an expert discussion. Questions are displayed on screen by the organising team, and the experts answer them based on their own clinical practice. The session closes with a live Q&A with the audience.

Programme

1. Patient qualification & decision-making
Clinical criteria and patient-related factors considered when qualifying a patient for CAR-T therapy, and the role of the multidisciplinary tumour board in this process.

2. Referral pathway & centre network
How patients eligible for CAR-T therapy are identified and referred from haematology centres to specialised CAR-T treatment centres, how physicians involved in patient care work together, and how the treatment process is coordinated in practice.

3. Bridging therapy
The objectives of bridging therapy, the factors that influence the choice of treatment strategy, and the challenges of disease control before CAR-T administration.

4. Toxicity management
The adverse events most commonly observed after CAR-T therapy, including CRS and ICANS, management algorithms, and the approach to infection prophylaxis and treatment.

5. Follow-up
Patient monitoring and long-term care after CAR-T therapy, the organisation of follow-up visits, safety monitoring, and collaboration between the CAR-T centre and the treating physician.

Closing: live audience Q&A
Questions submitted by participants via chat, answered by the experts in real time. The discussion will also cover practical advice for physicians starting out with CAR-T therapy and experience with bispecific therapies in subsequent lines of treatment.
